Out & About began when I started supporting a family member who needed help getting to medical appointments and managing a few everyday tasks. What they wanted wasn’t a large care service, just a familiar, friendly face to help them stay independent.
At the time, I was a stay-at-home mum with some flexibility, and through that experience I saw a real gap. Many seniors don’t need full-time care, they simply need someone local and reliable to help occasionally, whether it’s an appointment, an errand, a coffee or just getting out and about.
Today, we’re a small North Brisbane team providing practical, consistent support that fits easily into everyday life. If you or a family member could use a little extra help, we’d love to hear from you.
Getting Started
Simply get in touch to have a chat about what support you’re looking for and what might work best for you.
Support starts from $50 per hour, with the exact rate depending on the type of support needed and how regularly you’d like to get Out & About. We are a small, independent service and are privately funded. We are not currently registered for government or Home Care Package subsidies.
